Caipirinha
The caipirinha is served just before
the feijoada.
CAIPIRINHA INGREDIENTS
1 lime, cut into eighths
1 tbsp sugar
1/3 cup cachaça (sugar cane brandy)
CAIPIRINHA PREPARATION
Combine the lime and sugar in a tumbler glass and using a muddler, smash the limes
and sugar together. Add the cachaça, mix well. Fill the glass with ice cubes.
If cachaça is not available in your area, you can substitute vodka or white rum. It will
not be the same, but either version goes well with a feijoada.
